Mark's monorail images remind me of edward hopper offices at night. I could never guess what city they were taken in, and speak of a kind of generic city, and the sort of loneliness that comes from spending a lot of time with people that you're not very close to, and only with because of work... Seems like cities, maybe NY more than sydney, have a way of keeping people at a distance because of the sheer quantity of people around (too many people to relate to individually?).
Okay, that's all of tonight's almost-but-not-quite-poetic 3am rambling from brooklyn!
